Below the Surface of Elite Performance

Executive coaching depth, applied to the mental architecture of sport.

At the highest level of any sport, technique is a given. What separates the athlete who wins on the day from the athlete who doesn’t is rarely more training. It’s the pattern running underneath — the invisible mental blueprint that decides how they respond to pressure, scrutiny, setback, selection, and expectation.

I work with elite athletes and the clubs that develop them on that architecture. Not surface-level “mental toughness” drills. The deep patterns of identity, safety, worth, and self-protection that quietly shape every decision made under pressure — from the first minute of a match to the final years of a career.

For Clubs, Academies & Federations

Clubs and academies hire me when they need something more than a sport psychologist and something more than a mindset speaker. They need someone who can work with athletes, coaching staff, and the culture between them — with the clinical judgment to know when it’s a performance question, when it’s a wellbeing question, and when it’s both.

I bring the depth of executive coaching into the sporting environment, with credentialing that meets the highest professional standards in both worlds: the FC Barcelona Innovation Hub certification in sport psychology, National Board certification in health and wellness coaching, and Master Certified Coach status with the ICF.

Engagements take one of three forms, or a blend:

  • Individual athlete work — for the star player in a slump, the athlete returning from injury, the young player carrying too much, the veteran leader whose game is intact but whose identity is shifting.
  • Team and staff development — for coaching benches under pressure, captains and leadership groups, and the internal dynamics that quietly cost results.
  • Cultural and organizational work — high-performance culture design, transition and retirement pathways, and reflective supervision for coaches operating in high-stakes, safeguarding-sensitive environments.

Every engagement is structured, confidential, and outcome-anchored, with clear entry, review, and exit points, and reporting scoped to protect the athlete relationship.

For the Individual High-Performance Athlete — The 10-Session Program

Ten deeply personal, one-to-one online sessions. Not a curriculum. Not a mindset course. Ten conversations, designed around one thing: the pattern under your performance.

We start by finding it — the mental blueprint that has been running your career, mostly without your noticing. The one that shows up as the tightness before a big match, the second-guessing after a mistake, the freezing under selection scrutiny, the identity crisis after a bad season, the version of you who over-trains because rest feels dangerous.

Then we work with it — not against it. Every elite performer’s mental pattern was, at some point, part of what got them here. My job is not to eliminate it. My job is to help you see it clearly enough that you can choose, in the exact moment that matters, whether to run the old pattern or something different.

Sessions are built around your calendar and your competition cycle. Fully confidential. Every session ends with what I call rehearsal work — concrete strategies you can carry into the next training block, the next selection meeting, the next match, the next media obligation.

Over ten sessions, you’ll leave with:

  • A clear map of the mental patterns running under your performance
  • Practical tools for the moments that decide the outcome: pre-competition, in-play, post-mistake, post-loss, post-injury
  • A calmer, more spacious relationship with pressure — not less pressure, more choice inside it
  • An identity that survives a bad season

This isn’t training the athlete. It’s coaching the mind that runs the athlete. Everything else you already have.
